‘Annihilation Signals’ is the second album by Lee Switzer-Woolf which explores beyond the stripped back debut album into a more electronic full sound, with excellent production courtesy of Aden Pearce.

Track highlights such as ‘Kathy In The Seventy’, ‘The Falling Shrapnel Of A Satellite’ and ‘Annihilation Signals’ really showcase this impressive new sound with their clever layers of beats and guitars which instantly grab your attention.

Lee is a great lyricist and this album has some beautiful imagery. He reminds me a lot of Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie in his style, as you get drawn into the stories with their often dark or sad undertone, whilst the guitar work compliments this perfectly. ‘I Only Talk To God When I Think I’m Dying’ is a stunning example so definitely check out the lyric video.

‘Annihilation Signals’ is a wonderful collection of well crafted songs, demonstrating confident steps into bolder and more dynamic electronic tracks, but also still including the captivating acoustic led numbers Lee does so well.  An exciting evolution from the first album and I can’t wait to see where things go from here!
